Wake up to Classic Southern Rock (4 stars)

When I purchased this on a whim I had had no idea how I would like this recording. I have always liked the Allman Bros but hadn't listened to them much in the previous years. Almost from the first chords of Statesboro Blues I again realized why a poor ole northerner like me still loved them. Pure power, kick and groove. I realized I had missed the sound and feeling that only the Allmans could produce. Enjoy, you won't be disappointed.

Un-freakin-believable (5 stars)

This is by far the best AB live album I have heard. Having seen them live many times I can only imagine what it was like to see this show in ATL. Hearing a hungry band in prime form is awesome. Plus, the recording (other than the stupid intro) is perfect. A definite buy for anyone interested in knowing what the early AB was live.

just amazing (4 stars)

There a a few bum tracks, neither version of statesboro blues is too incredible. But that and Dreams aside(Duane is out of tune) this album is amazing. The second version of Mountain Jam is probably the highlight of the album, with an extended drum solo around minute 11
