Always Something Different! (5 stars)

I heard the full album on NPR's stream, love it, and will purchase it when it's available. Neil always expands his art, though his transcendent voice remains the same. When the orchestration started the album I wasn't quite sure where I was being taken, 'till that voice (The Voice) rang in. Comforting in 'new territory.' The balance of 'full bodied' and 'spare' versions of the songs is certainly unique and 'Definitely Neil.' After my first l

Well Neil always said he wanted to do an album with a full orchestra and he finally did! Some songs are so raw that it gives you chills! Hard to decide which versions I like better, solo or orchestra. To me they are both great! Enjoy

After Neil Young left the California folk-rock band Buffalo Springfield in 1968, he slowly established himself as one of the most influential and idiosyncratic singer/songwriters of his generation.
